I completely disagree: there’s lots of utter nonsense on Bowie albums. I enjoy them. But crikey, some of the tracks are bollocks.

That is an awesome song, one of my favorite Bowie songs. The "Fill Your Heart"/"Andy Warhol" combo is a fantastic one-two punch of divine silliness. Now that you've mentioned it, I'm humming the songs. I might have to put "Hunky Dory" on now that I'm back in my office.

You might have made a better point if you'd taken a song off "Pin-Ups" to criticize.

David: I have every Bowie lyric stuck in my brain for life. I hate that song. More than any other, thank you for pointing out other songs people might hate.

And I love that song. I used to blast it at high volumes in my college dorm room. (I still do blast it out from time to time during my commute.) It is genius, and very catchy, to boot. Thanks for reminding me to add it to my master playlist...

I’m glad you do. To me it grates. I have no reason to understand what on earth he’s talking about (I do know now, I am all grown up). But it isn’t a good song. It’s bitter. Says me, aged 7ish

You're not supposed to have any idea what they lyrics are about. Bowie's used the cut up technique for crafting his song lyrics at least since the early 1970s.
