Antivaxers always talk about THEIR rights and THEIR choice, as though their children are their property, rather than autonomous beings with the right not to be medically neglected.https://twitter.com/jeremyrhammond/status/1198007108886835201 …

    Jeremy R. Hammond @jeremyrhammond
Public vaccine policy apologists speak through Orwellian euphemisms as though the state had a "right" to force pharmaceutical products on our children without our informed consent. It's always about the GOVERNMENT'S choice, never about the rights of children. https://twitter.com/gorskon/status/1197593447164628992 …

In addition, what antivaxers call “informed consent” is in reality nothing of the sort. Rather, it is a misinformed lack of consent based on bad science, pseudoscience, and conspiracy theories.

The anti-vaxxers I know also count only DEATHS by measles, polio etc. when they’re citing statistics. How obnoxious.

My daughter was 15 when the DTaP injured her immediately. She now makes decision herself to research, read ingredients and know risks of any medication/anything she puts in her body. That’s called healthcare and responsibility. I believe she trumps all indoctrination #donoharm

Immediately? The only thing that can happen immediately after vaccination would be anaphylaxis and that can easily be suppressed in a clinic, where people typically get vaccinated at, was her case different?

He didn't even hint at allowing such a thing to happen, just that children are humans and have the right to not be medically neglected.

Of course, for anti vaxxers it's typically all about themselves, not their children or society.

Maybe they’re worried about vaccine injuries: https://www.hrsa.gov/vaccine-compensation/index.html …
