It’s theater, propaganda, nothing more. They don’t care about substantive answers. They’re hoping for answers or reactions that they can deceptively edit into an attack video. Don’t give them material. Video of you politely refusing and walking away is the least damaging. 3/

I also saw another suggestion. Tell them to make an appointment to see you and that you don’t do impromptu interviews. That’s not a bad idea, either. 4/

Thanks Dr. Gorski: Yes, you are right. It's just that I tend to be a very open, welcoming person, a style that has worked for me for decades, especially for students/young scientists. But clearly not an effective approach with
