I would. It’s not as though this issue hasn’t been bright up many years before.

I don’t think it’s necessary to get personal. We can and should continue to speak up about vaccine safety, inc lobbying for better laws, but remember who’s been on the frontline for decades fighting this fight in the clinic, community & nation.

You mean like me and my fellow provax activists?

All of us, including almost all pediatricians. We have one-on-one conversations with scared, worried, hesitant, resistant even angry parents multiple times every day plus in our spare time we advocate on multiple other levels, so yes, we’ve all been here too as provax activists

That’s good. That’s right. However, it doesn’t explain AAP’s tolerance of antivax pediatricians in its midst.

While there are issues I’d like the AAP to take a stronger stance on, I wouldn’t call characterize this as tolerance. Multiple AAP spokespeople have consistently called out vaccine misinformation. I’ll agree to disagree, but would refrain from disrespectful attribution of intent

That’s nice. Without actual policy teeth, sadly it’s meaningless.

To which I would point to
@RepKimSchrier’s VACCINES bill, which the AAP, including current leadership, had significant input on.2 replies 0 retweets 1 like -

I'll have to read the actual bill, because unfortunately that press release is vague to the point of leaving me scratching my head about what, exactly, the bill would do if passed.

Ah, here's the text of the bill. It's good, but the funding seems a bit low. https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/116/hr2862/text …
