Dr. Prasad’s is doing excellent work, and I would never dream of suggesting he do something else that is more in line with *my* interests. That just doesn’t make sense, and I question his entire line of reasoning behind this series of attacks.

I haven't read his work but a recommendation from you and Dr Howard is a pretty solid endorsement. I'll try to ignore his trolling over the past 24 hours and look into it.

A weird troll vibe from a seemingly legit medical professional. I've not read anything besides his tweets but I probably can't help myself now. I watched Jordan Peterson go from one of the most cited psychologists to Men's Rights Advocate, keto pro, & rehab in just a few years.

My problem was I read his tweets (which did not give a favorable impression) then went to his wikipedia page & his personal site (neither helped since they seemed to promote the very fame he critiques in Twitter docs). Trying to back pedal some to see if my 1st impression was off

Vinay does have a solid publication history, pretty high H-index, but has been on good teams... so far I am not impressed by his 140 character installments.https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=en&user=ym4rwk0AAAAJ …

Whoa he published with some good people. Ironic that Ionnadis' work has been discussed extensively at SBM

that's what I'm saying - he's legit but lashing out at other legit-twits doesn't make sense. Remember, Andy Weil also kinda lost it after a pretty creative and successful career.

Ditto Dr. Oz, who in the 1990s was a rising star in academic cardiothoracic surgery.

I feel like you know Vinay isn’t that similar to Dr. Oz. In fact, they are pretty close to opposites. This thread has gone in some truly bizarre directions over the last day.

I didn't mean he's like Oz now, and I think you know that. I was merely pointing out how quickly fame can lead rising stars to go bad.

It was an example intentionally chosen to be an extreme one.
