Ok. I fully agree being nasty to people is almost always inappropriate. Exempting his critiques of people like Andrew Wakefield and RFK jr, where have you seen him be nasty? Does he punch down? Insult other doctors? Maybe. But I’ve not seen it.

When I engaged him in a discussion of the psychosocial reasons people might select CAM he did not respond to me, but did RT my comments framing them/me as pro-CAM. So I blocked him. And because I am such a threat (?) to him, he blocked me back. Pretty cowardly AND nasty IMO.

It was shortly after I joined Twitter and had like no followers, so it seems he was trying to use me to make a point and get attention. Clear virtue signaling with no attempt at a real discussion. How many people has he done that to I wonder?1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

Maybe miscommunication. Who knows. Social media lends itself to that obviously. Benign statements can be misread as nasty.

This sounds disturbing. When I get home I'll have to go back and see what happened. Part of being a skeptic is being open to the possibility of being in the wrong.

Welp, this is the only Tweet I could find that I ever directed at her. It hardly seems particularly nasty to me. So I remain puzzled.https://twitter.com/gorskon/status/1057354181533564928?s=20 …

If you look at the methods of every one of the handful of studies claiming "placebo without deception" carefully you will find that there is deception, just unacknowledged.1 reply 0 retweets 3 likes
Unless she briefly unblocks me and shows me the offending Tweets or retweets, I have to conclude that she is misremembering. I found no other Tweets by me to her (or mentioning her) of from her to me (or mentioning me).
