A strawberry or raspberry also isn't a Berry, but tomatoes and bananas are. Is pointing this out helpful to a discussion about healthy eating? Probably not

Jen's habit of publicly humiliating men for using the ordinarily-understood meaning of words which also have a technical medical meaning is grindingly tiresome. And by grinding, I don't mean using abrasive wheels, in case that wasn't entirely obvious (which, of course, it was).

If you want to use that word in the discussion of a medical topic, you need to use it the way it’s intended in a medical context. Precision is a damn fine thing when discussing things that can kill people.
