So apparently this is the Tweet that somehow put me on @DeepakChopra's radar today: A public invitation from a woman who works for him to his conference next month. I politely decline his kind offer.https://twitter.com/KristinMeekhof/status/1184854924741480449 …

Just having his assistant tag us all in a Tweet to invite us less than a month before the symposium looks to me to be about appearance, not substance, particularly his chiming in afterwards.

After all, in my case at least, as a surgeon I need a full month's (at least) notice because, outside of emergencies, my cancer center requires at least that much notice for me to cancel a clinic.

In any event, it's strange to be in the same company as
@RichardDawkins,@Evolutionistrue,@SamHarrisOrg,@michaelshermer, and@jimmy_wales on@DeepakChopra's list.Show this thread -
And, predictably,
@DeepakChopra's response is condescending, probably because I called him out for the obvious bad faith behind the invitation and the disrespectful way that it was delivered in public.https://twitter.com/DeepakChopra/status/1184974221773926400?s=20 …Show this thread

Not so sure about that. Spontaneity is something
@DeepakChopra endorses. He might be as surprised as you at the impulse to invite you. I'm sure it's not easy due to past interactions. From afar this looks like an opportunity for peace. Up to both to choose separation/cooperation.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
