Glyphosate doesn’t cause cancer. It saves native ecosystems.https://slate.com/technology/2019/10/glyphosate-does-not-cause-cancer-saves-native-plants.html …

Love this article. Glyphosate is today’s DDT and the court of popular misconception is about to make everything worse for the planet once more

I always thought DDT was responsible for thinning bald eagles eggs? Is there any truth to this or was that caused by something else that overlapped with DDT?

No, no, no, no, no. I'm so disappointed that you've fallen for the Michael Crichton "Rachel Carson killed millions" by getting DDT banned denialist propaganda.https://sciencebasedmedicine.org/zika-virus-microcephaly-and-calls-to-bring-back-ddt/ …

Ok I can admit I was wrong about its potential to have been useful given declining efficacy. The comparison was dumb in retrospect, but the sensationalism in both cases about human health effects is troubling

It was also never banned for mosquito control. It was banned from agriculture where its overuse weakened its function as a public health intervention, bred resistance, and created ecologic harm from it’s extreme persistence in ecosystems. It’s still used today for malaria ppx.
