Here's an example from 12 years ago in which RFK Jr. did just that, accusing pro-vaccine advocates of misogyny and flattering his female base.https://respectfulinsolence.com/2007/06/21/robert-f-kennedy-jr-has-declared-a-crank-1/ …

The hypocrisy is astounding, given how misogynistic many antivaxers are when attacking female journalists.https://respectfulinsolence.com/2009/10/30/the-anti-vaccine-movement-strikes-back-u/ …

Old tactic. Robert Mendelsohn (surely a member of the Crank Hall Of Fame himself) did this decades ago.

Yep. It definitely predates RFK Jr. I merely wanted to point out that RFK Jr. has been using this tactic for at least 12 years, probably a lot longer.

i'm still trying to figure out why so-called health advocates are taking so-called health advice from lawyer who has/d a drinking/addiction problem. no expertise on the subject. that's lk taking dental advice from a dentist w a mouthful of bad teeth.

I loathe RFK Jr. with the fire of a gazillion suns, but please let’s not do that particular argument. That’s not what makes him a bad health advocate. Addiction is a complex illness but it is still an illness. Would you say don’t trust an oncologist who has had cancer?
