A verdict can't be a legal precedent. It was the decision of a judge of original jurisdiction sitting as a trier of fact. No other judge need follow his opinion of the law or facts. (That's the meaning of "precedent") . The parents ought to have been convicted, of course.

This sums it up 4 me: Their decication 2 homeopathy caused their child 2 suffer&die from an infection that, odds are, allo/osteopathic methods would have quickly slain. Even if they feel vindication at this (ridic) verdict, this is proof that homeopathy lacks efficacy.
