Back in the day, we used to call these things patient support services. They were provided to help patients pass their time in the hospital in as pleasant a way as possible, and they had value doing that. again, that didn't make them "medicine."

Reminds me of CAMExpo. There was a tuning-fork therapist. I talked to the guy in the next stall, who said that sound therapy was OK but single frequencies (side-eye to the tuning fork lady) weren't enough. And proceeded to show me his vials of water infused with music of Mozart.

Medical doctors have a unique type of logic purchased in medical school. It’s understandable. No medical school in America teaches a single semester of diet. And you can forget about aromatherapy, man’s FIRST modality.
