Weird. I was at http://ScienceBlogs.com which was a wonderful, supportive & collaborative community. I don’t remember interacting with the SEED board though.

That's because we didn't, other than
@adambly and some Seed employees in the Seed office on West 21st St. back in the day.1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -
Maybe you can explain then, how it all worked. Because I’m told by those who knew and are now very fearful that the link to SEED is something to be investigated deeply. Are they right?

TBH, I have no idea. None of us that I know of knew anything about the connection then and were very shocked to learn of it. We all lived in our own parts of the country, and back in its heyday Seed brought Sb bloggers to NYC two or three times for a blogging meetup.

That's really the only reason I ever visited the Seed office and, during one of the blogging meetups, Adam's apartment in the West Village. We had no idea Epstein had invested in Seed. At least, I didn't.

I remember when we raised concerns about James Watson's involvement with SMG, concerns that touched on his on-the-record claims that were manifestly racist, sexist, & not based in science. I remember how hard those concerns were ignored. That shapes my read of all this…

And silly me, I thought when I left Sb I would never again have to pester SMG leaders to take a stand or to at least, you know, say *something* useful in public about the principles they believe are undergirding their decisions & their inaction!
