That's why I'll likely be spending a good chunk of this evening getting the wifi network reestablished and reconnecting the smart TV, Apple TV, security cameras, and all the wifi-enabled smart devices reconnected to it. Fun times, especially with an impending grant deadline.

I'll probably be (mostly) social media silent, as well. At least I can rename my home wifi network. I was getting tired of the old name. I need to think of something really odd or humorous.

If you're planning on keeping the service for a long time, then it is cheaper to buy your own cable modem. You still get customer service help & will save money on equipment rental fees. Depending upon the model, you may break even in less than a year. Comcast posts model names.
