My single greatest regret regarding live concerts is that I never managed to see The Ramones live. I've seen The Clash. I've seen David Bowie multiple times. I've seen most of my favorite bands live at one time or another, but somehow not The Ramones.😢

My greatest regret was not going to an early summer concert of Harry Chapin and waiting for an August date. I was going to cross the country on a bus to see him. He died in July 1981. I worked on the concert committee at Uni & was working to bring him there.

Well, I saw them once, at a small rock club, and my ears are still ringing. No, really, I attribute my tinnitus in large part to that particular show. Not blaming them (I was a clueless teen) but perhaps it's just as well that you missed them.

I saw them at the Commodore in Vancouver, I think 1993 or 1994. Definitely a dream come true.

We're tied, I never saw The Clash but did see the Ramones in '79. It was like standing next to 747 engine at full throttle.

Saw them at the CAW hall in St Catharines in 1994. I've heard they played at the iconic Hideaway in St Catharines, which would have been a fantastic place to see them.

A student friend of mine, a HUGE Ramones fan, went to see them in Manchester back in about 1987. He was wetting himself with anticipation and was so disappointed. He said they were awful.

Bands I would've loved to have seen live but didn't include the Ramones, Motorhead, the Cramps and the Clash. The worst common denominator out of all of them is that a grand total of ten members of the most prominent lineups of those bands are all dead.

Huh. I missed the Ramones when they were in Cleveland. I have a memory in there somewhere of seeing Bowie.
