Well mainstream media is increasingly moving in the right direction and provaccine. But the antivax lobby is very strong in America, hundreds of websites, amplified on SM, and now Amazon is the leading promoter of fake antivaccine books.

This is true. I remember when I started blogging 15 years ago. There was so much false balance in the media. Every story about vaccines or autism, it seems, had to have J.B. Handley, Andrew Wakefield, or, a little later, Jenny McCarthy, all for "balance."

False balance in the media reporting on vaccines and autism isn't gone, but it's much less prevalent. Unfortunately, over the last decade, social media has totally taken up the slack to vitally distribute outright antivax propaganda with unprecedented efficiency.
