The Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki are obviously tragedies but fascinating history. I'm a fan of Dan Carlin's take on the morality of it. He did an episode on it, "Logical Insanity" reviewing the history of aerial bombing campaigns which really contextualizes it.

One General (LeMay I think) openly thanked God for the bomb, because it ended the firebombing raids on Japanese cities. I'm not sure he's wrong.
