I don’t want to hear any talk abt this man being insane. He posted his manifesto just 20 mins bf walking into the store, but he had driven 9hrs. He probably did it in the parking lot. He knew posting too soon would give ppl time to stop him. He’s not crazy; he’s methodical.

No, they're not mutually exclusive. And there's the argument that "no sane person commits murder." But *this* mass murderer looks coldly logical and ordered. Sociopathic, maybe, but don't blame MI for his actions. Blame xenophobia, bigotry, and white supremacy instead.

Those things you list at the end? That's evidence of mental illness. And just because you're mentally ill in some way doesn't make you a murderer. You're not him.

Mass murder and sanity also are not mutually exclusive.

Insanity is a legal term. Is is not synonymous with mentally ill. Insanity means you are incapable of judging your own actions. The classic example is someone who kills a "demon." They can't meaningfully plea, aid in their own defense, understand the charges, etc.

He methodically planned and carried out a mass killing. This is what the worst terrorists of every type do. So if he is mentally ill, it's the illness shared by all mass murderers. He should be treated exactly the way we treat other terrorists.
