My assessment, so far, is that statins work so poorly for primary prevention in the elderly that there's genuine doubt about whether it's worth a large fraction of them taking them. Do you disagree?

I have been hearing about but not seeing this statin denial. Are they arguing against primary or secondary prevention? Because really the data for primary prevention isn’t the best.

Generally statin denial is based on denial that high cholesterol results in atherosclerosis, and stain deniers deny that statins work for primary or secondary prevention.
