not sure about many of his ideas, though many seem interesting, but i've never heard him make this claim about business experience as his main qualification. I think he would more say that his diagnoses of problems & his policy proposals justify his candidacy

And where else would he have gotten those purported skills if not from his business experience? No, these guys always assume it's their business experience that gives them the skill set to be a good president.

maybe you're right about his thinking, but my point was different- i didn't reference his real or imagined skills, but his ideas (notably different from those of the rest of the field) as a possible motivation for the run. (deserves more scrutiny for sure if he rises in polls)

From my perspective, he should run due and get elected to a lesser office like Congress or a state office first to gain political experience, not go straight for president. He might be decent after that. Right now, no way.
