Norway, Denmark, France, Sweden - all single payer systems no public option. Canada, single payor but option for out of country. They work well, physicians like them. Some places have other options, but not used well. Germany is an outlier

In Canada this kind of plan would only come from the far right would never gain any traction because it would only exist to undermine the public option with the express purpose of eroding the system. Single payer is the only good system.

Canada is primarily a single-payer system, but dental, paramedical, and most prescription drugs are not included. It works well, for the most part. Despite uninformed fearmongering, there are no unreasonable delays for essential care.
