When you're straight out of surgery and have a flight to catch, but didn't have time to change, totally normal

That would be like me wearing Tyvek to the airport.

There's a Japanese kids show that I watched with my kids. We enjoyed it, but these "doctors" spend the whole show wandering around town with their white coats on. I guess because otherwise we'd forget they were doctors, what with their obvious lack of any medical knowledge :D

Oh god those coats... Fomite city.

Really can't think of a reason why you'd turn up like that, other than narcissism. Even if you were in OR or something you'd have to pass through changing room to leave. It takes maybe min and a half to get changed. And if it's longer, you probably shouldn't be holding a scalpel

I saw a guy at the bank in full "I just walked out of the OR" regalia. Scrubs, bouffant hat, booties. At least he had the good sense to take his mask off.

probably wrong but this feels like something someone in medical sales would do. I feel like I border on wearing my scrubs too much... but yeah never

I'm blue collar. It kind of feels like showing up in coveralls to the pub.

It’s never okay to wear scrubs outside of the hospital. And the argument that “I need to catch a flight” is specious. It takes 1 minute to change clothes. Our hospital has a policy that you’re never allowed outside of the OR or recovery with hospital scrubs.

I wore hospital scrubs and got on the bus once. I got admitted because I passed out walking home from school and fell into mud. The nurses gave me scrubs to wear home as I had no clothes. Don't judge as you don't know the story.
