*Any* pay-to-play trial. I don't care if it's an impeccably designed trial of a parachute drug -- volunteering one's body for an insufficiently-tested treatment is more than sufficient payment. If there's any payment, it should go the other way. (Which itself poses problems.)

Yes, I have been known to argue for paying research participants! I can’t 100% rule out pay to play trials, but the idea makes me very uneasy & there needs to be a REALLY good reason. I can invent such a case in my mind, but would would be quite rare in real life

The only reason this is even being debated is the extremely poor, "both-sides" coverage by Spectrum. Stem cells for autism is quackery pure and simple, end of story.
