States must end the practice of excessive licensure. In 1950 less than 5% of occupations were licensed. Today it is closer to 30%. The Americans hurt the most by this overreaching regulatory regime are those living on the margins, including returning citizens.

You can make arguments against excessive licensing, and against professions that act as guilds asb opposed to serving consumer safety. The Trump family however, are not the people to make those arguments.

Actually, as someone who has a masters degree in pharmaceutical science, I resent having to have an esthetician’s license to practice makeup artistry.

Consider this from an RN licensed in 2 states: Another trump finds a way to divide Americans. Licensing merely required by state law to work in a particular profession or to obtain privileges such as driving in order to ensure that the public will not be harmed by incompetence.
