Dear Pseudoscience busters and people with RA, anyone know anything about the Paddison Program for healing RA? My MIL may be considering dropping her meds for this.

I don't know anything about it, don't recall anyone chatting about it. Let's call some other skeptic MDs too:

It has all the hallmarks of a medical fraud- testimonials without citations to data, claims based on unvalidated theory...

Also, it's named after someone, which seems to be a big "tell" for quackery.

Nope. It works. It's amazing. Loads of video testimonials from patients.

Saw that. Just because some guy writes an article on something he doesn't believe in, never having tried it, means nothing. I suspect a drug company paid the guy to write it. Thousands off the meds....big pharma loses money. This article appears..... connect the dots.

Saying “connect the dots” is functionally identical to saying “there is no connection between these things that I can draw myself, but I feel like there should be”

RA is big bucks for pharma companies. A guy has a programme that has people off their meds. Then an article is written with zero factual basis saying the programme doesn't work...but never interviewed Paddison or anyone on his programme. That's dots to me.

You claim that there is "zero factual basis" behind my article. I call bullshit. If you're going to accuse me of that, the prove it. List the errors of fact, science, and/or interpretation and support your criticisms with references. If you can't, you can be dismissed.

I call Hitchens razor down on Holly: "What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence." Holly has asserted without evidence; so I dismiss her.

You chose not to believe my evidence because you can't disprove it. Clint Paddison is the person to defend his programme. He developed it. It has been successful. Should he give all his research, help and programme for free? $100 hardly breaks the bank.

You presented no scientific evidence. As for Clint Paddington, I had an email exchange with him, and he sure as hell couldn't defend his own invention. So I invoke Hitchens' razor again.
