So @AppleSupport, your trade in program for laptops is a rip-off. I was offered $985 pending inspection, and—surprise, surprise!—your partner only offered me $345 based on flickering, "pixel-damaged" screen. My screen was fine when I sent my MacBook Pro back. Never again!

Apple are ripoff merchants end to end, who do everything they can to screw their customers - try watching louis rossman (independant board level tech) on youtube if you wanna see some deeper details

This is a chronic scam. Apple hates its users. The disdain is evident in everything the company does.

They did the same for me with my old 27” iMac. They estimated around $1000 for it, ended up only getting $100. There was literally nothing wrong with the screen and they only sent a picture of the screen turned off with nothing highlighted. I payed close to $3000 for it new.

I had a lot more issues with that 2012 iMac than I had with any of the other macs I’ve owned over the years. It was my last Apple computer.

Thing with apple is their MacBooks retain their value, but are super hard to sell for a decent price. My vote is for a lease … get a top of the line 32gb 15” Pro for $100/month.
