OK. I've been thinking. What are the most perfect TV pilot episodes, the ones that hook you, make a statement of intent for the show, and define what the show is about? 1/

No love for Columbo? I loved that show! The first episode starred Jack Cassidy and Martin Milner!
Maybe I should have listed Route 66 or Naked City. Classic TV is forgotten by everyone except those of us without cable or satellites.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

I don't think I ever saw the first episode of Columbo.

If I've seen it, you've seen it. You've just forgotten. I get stuck watching MeTV on regular broadcast television and they play old Columbo episodes a lot.

Ha! When I couldn't sleep because of pain from my cervical radiculopathy, I started watching the MeTV overnight lineup: Alfred Hitchcock, Cannon, Mannix, 77 Sunset Strip.

If the commercials weren't so horrible (No, I don't need a reverse mortgage Tom Selleck!) I'd watch it a lot more. They show old Barney Millers, the best cop show ever made.
