Many people into "natural health" love the Hippocratic quote, "Let food be thy medicine." There is zero evidence Hippocrates ever wrote that. But even if he did, we must be wary of stuff someone once wrote hundreds of years ago. A thread.

He's not actually wrong about that, even today, although, to be honest, military surgeons sometimes train at inner city hospitals in order to learn how to deal with gunshot wounds.
