I don't know why but I'm watching "Soylent Green." One interesting thing about the movie, which was made in 1973. It features human-caused global warming due to the greenhouse effect. as part of the reason, in addition to massive overpopulation, for the horrible conditions shown.

As an aside, I've always had a soft spot for early 1970s dystopian science fiction with Charlton Heston, such as "Soylent Green" and "The Omega Man."

Oooh, Charlton Heston kicking a bad guy in the balls. I don't remember that in "Soylent Green."

A preeminent representative of the party who seems to despise the thought that they may in some way be responsible..

I remember the global cooling hypothesis during the 70's. I only found out decades later that it was one stupid issue of Time Magazine. But I'll forgive someone for thinking it was a thing because, for some of us, it was.

I keep making jokes about Soylent Green lately. Like: Sarah Sanders new career will probably be press secretary at new Soylent Green factory at the Mexican border. Nobody laughs..pic.twitter.com/a8lCE62bfk
