I agree that homeopaths don’t attend medical school. But homeopathic and naturopathic doctors, who are licensed in many states, do have nutrition classes as part of their training. Only about 25% of US med schools offer a nutrition class. So who is better trained in nutrition?
Did he offer applied kinesiology, thermography, juice fasts, liver cleanses, or "detox" foot baths? I could go on, but these will do for a start.

The reason I ask is because, whatever dietary and lifestyle advice he gave you, if he offers one or more of those treatments to patients in his practice (and pretty much all naturopaths offer at least one of them), he is a quack, because those treatments are quackery.

No she did not, at least never to me. Nothing about her seemed “non-medical”. Before my ND, I went to regular doctors for 25 years. Each MD visit was about 5 minutes, with the doctor holding a RX pad and giving me a prescription for a new drug, or an adjustment, at each visit.(1)

I know you won't give me her name, but, if you did, I'd be willing to bet that I could look into her and find quackery.

On a work physical, my MD looked at my file, and bluntly recommended that I purchase a cemetery plot, because I would likely need one in the next five years. And so I decided to get a second opinion, which lead me to the ND. (3)

I’ve now been med free at my optimal weight and health for 9 years because of her, and have time qualified for the 2020 Boston Marathon 3 times so far this year. My life is possible because a ND listened and cared, and took the time to show me what diet and exercise meant. (5)
