But you apparently don't agree that what homeopaths learn about nutrition in homeopathy and naturopathy schools is laced with pseudoscience and quackery? Maybe @NaturoDiaries can educate you.

MDs and DOs can be licensed as homeopathic doctors in some US states. I would not agree that anyone should consult with any unlicensed practitioner. There are good and bad practitioners in every profession. Not all NDs engage in "quackery", and not all MDs are competent.

The fact that one can be licensed does not make one competent. It’s like licensing magicians, only pretending that they don”real”magic.

Are all MDs competent?

No but they are licensed to practice a profession based on science and evidence. Naturopaths when licensed are still making shit up.

Yep. Licensure based on magical thinking and beliefs only legitimizes the magical thinking and beliefs. It didn't protect the public.https://respectfulinsolence.com/2017/04/11/death-by-intravenous-turmeric-why-licensed-naturopaths-are-no-safer-than-any-other-naturopath/ …

In the case of naturopaths, their licensing boards do everything they can to avoid disciplining even the most egregious cases. https://respectfulinsolence.com/2017/04/12/death-by-intravenous-turmeric-naturopaths-circle-the-wagon/ …

If it was me, I'd expand my repertoire of ND examples beyond one crazy guy administering turmeric IVs. And in your profession, what about people such as Dr. Gundry, Dr. Oz, and Dr. Shawn Baker? Let a profession without sin cast the first stone?

Dr. Oz?

I've written about Dr. Oz's quackery more times than I can remember. Just search @ScienceBasedMed or@oracknows.2 replies 0 retweets 3 likes -

As for Dr. Gundry, he's aligned himself with
@goop and@GwynethPaltrow who is trying to make lectins into the new gluten, as far as food scares go.https://respectfulinsolence.com/2017/07/14/gwyneth-paltrows-quack-empire-strikes-back-against-dr-jen-gunter/ …2 replies 0 retweets 2 likes
As for Shawn Baker, I'm not as familiar with him, but his carnivore diet reeks of yet another diet fad unsupported by anything other than cherry picked science.

I think we have a lot in common, except I don’t have advanced degrees in science. I’m just a simple person who reversed obesity and T2D with healthy nutrition. My agenda is simply to ask health professionals to agree about what we should eat and not eat. Thank you again.
