Poor word choice, sure. And maybe I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt since I personally know him. But a few of the direct responses to his tweet were unreasonable. People are castigating him despite him more or less agreeing with their basic position. 1/

He was disturbed as a med student watching (presumably) a D&E. I watched one when I was a med student, and it's a disturbing thing to watch - particularly if given no preparation. I would be concerned about a person who didn't feel conflicted the first time they saw one. 2/2
