A journal called "Integrative Medicine Research" sent me an invitation to review a manuscript last night. The topic was reiki. The time was 8:33 PM. I saw it late last night. 1/

Can this editor of an "integrative health" quack journal be more obvious? Send me an email in the evening, wait 12 hours, and then say I took too long to respond? Seriously? 4/

How much do you want bet that she'll now claim to her peers that she offered the manuscript to a skeptic of reiki, but he just took too long to respond? 5/

Either that, or the journal is pay-to-publish and she didn't really want to have me review the manuscript. She just wanted to give the appearance of sending the quack manuscript out for review. I wonder what she would have done if I had accepted within that 12 hr. window. 6/6
