It's true they are trying to branch out. The recent recruiting of Orthodox Jews & last years outbreak in Minnesota among a Somalian community is also extremely troubling.

And, given the history of organized medicine with blacks (e.g., the Tuskegee experiment), there's lots of distrust, much of it earned, in those communities for antivaxers to exploit.

In my first immunology unit we spoke about vaccine hesitancy and one of the girls who spoke was a lady from a small African tribe and said vaccine rejection is super common where she's from. But there are definitely 2 camps. The under privileged and the overprivileged.
