The constant credulous promotion of religious faith healing on what purports to be a news program in 2019 is embarrassing. I know these are meant to be inspirational fluff pieces, but they're actually pernicious and irresponsible.

This is the third time since 2010 you've featured this man and uncritically presented claims that he has enabled the suspension of natural law by (an apparently Christian) god to treat serious medical problems. Not once have you featured a skeptical physician or scientist to...

Happily, Dr. Nemeh does not appear to be a predatory quack, out to sell bogus panaceas and supplements like so many who operate on the fringes contemporary medicine. But the naive presentation of these fantastical, absurd claims—claims I'm sure the producers and reporters...

At a minimum, the next time you decide to promote Dr. Nemeh, at least allow a response or rebuttal from a qualified mainstream physician and/or scientist. I recommend contacting @gorskon, who is nearby and an excellent science communicator! I'm sure he'd be happy to comment.

Oh, bloody hell. Et tu, @wxyzdetroit? It's not enough that @Local4News is airs credulous puff pieces about pet acupuncture and other alternative medicine. That's relatively harmless by comparison to promoting a faith healing quack like Dr. Issam Nemeh.

I probably get myself into trouble with hospital administration criticizing local media when they air stories like this. After all, they don't want to piss off the local press. However, this story looks so egregious that I might have to take a look later.

OTOH, I know at least some major local media figures know about my blog and know who I am. (Some of them follow me on Twitter.) People, when you need someone to take a look at claims like these, I'm usually available! Yes, I'm on a tight grant deadline now, but I'll find time!
