The Cars were swallowed up by the Pontiac Silverdome, and let's just say that Ted Nugent fans were not exactly the sort of fans who would be receptive to one of the first New Wave bands to be on the verge of mass success. 4/

Now Barry Manilow. I've seen him live twice. My wife loves Barry Manilow, and I love my wife. So I went. He actually does put on an entertaining show. 5/

But what about the rest? A couple of you guessed David Bowie, but anyone who knows me knows that David Bowie is probably my favorite artist of all time. I own nearly every David Bowie album, and I've seen him live around six times beginning in the early 1980s. 6/

The best Bowie concert was in 1997, when I saw him at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, where I was living at the time. He was doing smaller venues, and I was lucky enough to score some tickets. 7/

Next, I did see the Dead Milkmen in 1988. They put on a hell of a show. Gotta love when they did the "Green Acres" theme to the tune of "Purple Haze." (The lyrics fit the music, believe it or not.) 8/

Of course, my favorite Dead Milkmen songs have to be "The Thing That Only Eats Hippies," "Bitchin' Camaro," "You'll Dance to Anything," and, of course, "Punk Rock Girl." 9/

I also saw The Clash in 1982 at the Grand Circus Theater in Detroit. We had fifth row seats. It was one of the greatest concerts I've ever seen. By the end of the concert, seating appeared to be meaningless. 10/https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/the-clash/1982/grand-circus-theater-detroit-mi-33f72c9d.html …

A couple of you guessed Pink Floyd, but I did see Pink Floyd live at the Pontiac Silverdome in 1986. Sadly, I never saw Floyd in its glory days when Roger Waters was still with the band. 11/

So that leaves the Ramones, which a couple of you did guess. Sadly, I've never seen them live. I wanted to, but for some reason it never happened. Never having seen the Ramones live is one of my greatest music regrets. 12/12

I can’t believe I saw the Ramones (at the Motorcity Roller Rink) and you never saw them. 🙀

      Sad but unfortunately true.
