It's been evolving that way for several years. I first noticed
@GOP candidates' spring antivax pseudoscience early in the 2016 election cycle.https://respectfulinsolence.com/2015/02/03/is-republican-party-becoming-antivaccine-party/ …1 reply 0 retweets 3 likes -
By three years later, I had concluded that the
@GOP had become the antivaccine party, thanks to antivaxers portraying vaccine mandates as unacceptable assaults on parental rights and freedom.https://respectfulinsolence.com/2019/04/19/gop-has-become-antivaxer/ …1 reply 0 retweets 3 likes -
Bottom line: To those of us paying attention to the antivaccine movement, it's not at all surprising that in 2019 the most vocal antivaccine voices are nearly all on the right. It's been a long time coming, and there's always been a right wing faction in the antivaccine movement.

Also, Texas is ground zero for the unholy fusion of right wing politics and antivaccine pseudoscience.https://respectfulinsolence.com/2017/02/22/in-the-age-of-donald-trump-vaccine-policy-is-becoming-politicized-with-potentially-deadly-consequences/ …
