It’s been a great show for many years and I’ll be really disappointed if it just fizzles out in the last couple episodes. I think you can tell the quality difference in the story lines once they were completely off the book series.

The interpersonal relationship stuff has still been good. Also, the bad military strategy did make for compelling TV (e.g., the Dothraki charge into the Night King's army). Clearly the show runners value spectacle over anything resembling military strategy, though. #GameofThrones
