I crunched the numbers on night and if measles occurred at the same rates it did before there was a vaccine, it would be the leading cause of death among children. Like it's not even close... O_O

It’s also dangerous to people’s livelihoods, maybe that’ll make them care. If so many kids get sick and pass it to teachers, the school shuts down and people lose pay. If people have to stay home with their kids, they can’t work either. Even hospitals can get overwhelmed.

My Great Uncle Worth contracted measles in a CCC camp in 1935, and died at 23. I want to scream every time I hear someone call measles a "childhood right of passage."
