In fairness, I don't think antivaxers *want* to bring all these diseases back. They just labor under the delusion that the vaccines are more dangerous than the diseases they protect against and downplay how dangerous diseases like measles are.https://twitter.com/AboutPediatrics/status/1122101731016478720 …

In other words, antivaxers don't actively want vaccine-preventable diseases to come back. Rather, they're indifferent to whether they do come back as a result of declining vaccine uptake. They're also perfectly willing to "hide in the herd," as Dr. Bob Sears put it.

Yet, measles parties and chickenpox parties have been in the news this year. Some write articles on the "benefits" of measles. So it may be a small minority, but there are some who seem to want their children to get sick. Looking at point #4 here: https://physiciansforinformedconsent.org/measles/dis/

It IS a small minority who do pox parties. That's my point! It's incorrect to make a blanket statement that antivaxers want to bring back vaccine-preventable disease. A small minority of antivaxers do, but painting them all with that brush does not produce an accurate picture.

As for point 4, funny how @picphysicians ignore the prolonged immunosuppression that can occur after a measles infection.
