I mean, @AlietaEck makes a lot of claims, but provides no objective evidence to back them up. No wonder @AAPSonline eats her op-ed up.

Here's a hint. If you're going to point to a single anecdote as representative of a problem, it helps if you actually show that it is,in fact, reflective of a wider problem. Simply asserting that it is doesn't cut it.

Because they aren’t. Good measures of excess cost in US put fraud in the tiny minority of excess cost < 5% compared to excess administrative cost which IIRC is in the 20-30% range and which Medicare *excels* at lowering with its 7% admin overhead.

So in every regard this is opposite of true. See the Commonwealth Fund reports on excess costs. These guys don’t have a leg to stand on.
