If you are arguing for convicted felons to have the right to vote after they have done their time, I’m with you 100%. If you are arguing they ought to get to vote while they’re in jail, you’ve lost me.

Canada allows prisoners to vote. It doesn't seem that controversial. The Supreme Court ruled that voting is a fundamental right in a democracy, even for those in prison. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/canada-election-2015-prisoners-voting-1.3202010 …
