Nothing wrong with libertarian tendencies per se. It's just when they're taken to extremes and combined with a far right ideology that it all goes horribly wrong.

The one good thing that came out of my Objectivism period was to consciously assign value to intangibles, not in some fetish for quantification but to ensure they weren't lost because they weren't easily or obviously quantified. Other side effect is that I value editors :)

It’s very attractive when you are a have and it soothes the empathy for have nots. I see why people are attracted. I still think the basic idea is correct. Let the market work unless the market works against our goals.
