While we debate the ethics/legality of forced vaccinations, perhaps a more effective method: deny WIC checks and Medicaid benefits to families that refuse to vaccinate.

Agreed. Well beyond their scope and expertise. But in much of the country, any medical professional can fill out and sign a medical exemption form and schools seem to have no choice but to accept them. The WV model seems far superior.

Some interpretations, I believe, are that FERPA protections prohibit outside agencies from coming into schools for vax records, which are part of registration.

West Virginia requires doctors to submit them directly to the health officers, not the school. That’s what the New California bill proposes too. FERPA would be an issue for submission to school.
