Agreed. Incidentally, more or less the same applies to scientists who opine 'from authority' on biomedical-related subjects for which they hold no expertise, let alone sound understanding, whatsoever. Being an expert-scientist in one field doesn't make you one in all fields.

This raise a very interesting question. If a treatment while not scientifically proven provides psychosomatic effect are we to deny them? Of course this introduces the problem of when correlated scientific data is at odds with these treatments.
