That's $315 an hour, the university values us academics at $150 an hour, my last report for Adelaide health took around 20 hours of research delving back into long forgotten papers and I did it for free

$315 an hour? I don't know what typical Canadian rates are, but in the US that's actually not atypical for what an MD can command as an expert witness. However, it is pretty low for actually testifying in court, which usually runs more like $500/hr.
