Then may I suggest that you find a better term? I like to use "science advocate," but I'm open to other suggestions. "Science police" reminds me of grammar, tone, etc. police. It caused a visceral negative reaction in me when I read the title. Quacks call us this sort of thing.

I tend to agree. So much seems to be, basically, a demonstration that relaxation and quiet time is, well, relaxing. Ditto studies supporting things like Tai Chi and yoga. Light exercise and noise-free relaxation. No magic. But I'm glad better studies emerging...

I frequently say that yoga and Tai Chi, stripped of their mystical, religious, vitalistic aspects, are just forms of exercise. So, sure, they have benefits. What I object to is their advocates claiming specialness.

Appreciate the input and will look at the study. Mindfulness based stress reduction has both randomized controlled trials and meta-analyses to support it's use. This is better than many off-label uses of medications.

That is, of course, if anyone can define "mindfulness." I've read many of these studies. They havd major flaws.https://sciencebasedmedicine.org/is-mindfulness-meditation-science-based/ …
