Advocate all you want for vaccines. But patients still have the right to choose. And the right to hear those who disagree that all vaccines are effective and safe enough to force on people. Using force discredits the case.https://twitter.com/DrLindaMD/status/1108206936590290945 …

Of course, let me just let
@DrLindaMD know that I've been trying to get a simple answer to a simple question from Dr. Orient for days. The question? Which childhood vaccines does she consider safe and effective and why? She's been dodging the question with rants about freedom.2 replies 5 retweets 57 likes -
It can't be that Dr. Orient doesn't consider any vaccine to be safe and effective (because she's an antivaxer), could it? Perish the thought!

Great questions! If any antivaxxer has any real science, I am willing to listen to it. But, there is none.

There is plenty of evidence of vaccine adverse effects. Isn't that real science? And does absence of evidence from safety trials that have not been done= evidence of absence--firm enough to justify suspension of need for consent? The damaged kids are real.

One link. Please just one link. The vaccine evidence is clearly established by every major medical authority across the globe. Where are the damaged kids? I vaccinate thousands and they're not in my practice.

Most kids apparently tolerate the vaccines. Mothers of the ones who didn't are at the hearings--some say that their doctor blew off their reports of high fever, seizures, screaming for days, and regression after a vaccine.

Anecdotes do not equal causation. See:https://thelogicofscience.com/2016/06/28/why-are-there-so-many-reports-of-autism-following-vaccination-a-mathematical-assessment/amp/ …

Some ideas persist because they are true, and calling them "anecdotes" doesn't persuade people to trust you and let you dictate treatment for their kids. A good alternate explanation for the 1 in 40 prevalence would help.

There are multiple good explanations for the 1 in 40 prevalence that are backed by science. Diagnostic substitution. Broadening of the diagnostic criteria in the early 1990s. Much increased screening and intervention. I can go on. Seriously, how is it that you don't know this?

I guess all those pediatricians were missing serious neurodevelopment disorders all these years? Autism merited one paragraph in my Pediatrics textbook. Schools and parents too were unaware of children unable to communicate or function socially.

See what you just said: "Autism merited one paragraph in my Pediatrics textbook". And that is why we are seeing more autism now. We are learning more about and recognizing more cases.
