The AMA did advertise cigarettes at one time despite suspicion of harm. Unsafe vaccines may be more of a public health threat than the diseases they are intended to prevent. Another AMA coverup to protect its commercial interests?

The association this woman heads up published articles saying that HIV does not cause AIDS, that being gay reduces life expectancy, that there's a link between abortion and breast cancer, & that there was a dramatic increase in leprosy (there wasn't) due to immigrants. Just mute.

I've also learned that St. Orient signed the "doctors' dissent from Darwinism" letter. Also, she denies climate science and even the very concept of a scientific consensus.https://sciencebasedmedicine.org/hostility-towards-scientific-consensus-a-red-flag-identifying-a-crank-or-quack/ …

Consensus is the enemy of science. Particularly a fake consensus, What about the consensus on Ptolemy, or spontaneous generation, or bad air as the cause of malaria, etc.

The authorities persecuted Galileo, Semmelweis, and many others. But the authorities didn't generally force people to take remedies they didn't consent to. Why does freedom of speech threaten you?

It wasn't scientists who persecuted Galileo. It was the Pope and the Catholic Church because his findings contradicted dogma. As for Semmelweis, doctors were divided. Outside of his own country, Semmelweis' findings were more accepted.

In league with the prestigious academics who supported Aristotle. Academic know-it-alls plus political power is lethal combo. Semmelweis died in insane asylum. But truth will out.

"But the fact that some geniuses were laughed at does not imply that all who are laughed at are geniuses. They laughed at Columbus, they laughed at Fulton, they laughed at the Wright Brothers. But they also laughed at Bozo the Clown." - Carl Sagan.

Of course not. But groupthinkers ridiculing serious thinkers they disagree with might end up looking like Bozo. Or Torquemada.

In this case, I'll take my chances. I think it's a VERY safe bet that I won't be the one looking like Bozo.🙄

I think it’s a safe bet that most physicians are independent thinkers less prone to groupthink than some It’s just our science training allows us to consider and then accept good evidence.

Also, to claim to be a serious thinker because one disagrees with current EBM sounds like a semantic defence The climate deniers and Linus Pauling both come to mind when using this approach 🤔
