May I suggest the hashtag #TiltingWindmills here.

I would honestly like an explanation from @PGtzsche1 & @LarsJorgensenMD PCG has been clear that this PhD was going to show that the #HPVVaccine may cause serious neurological harms. Instead there is "post hoc exploratory harm analyses" of serious harms "definitely associated"?

And even then, having tortured the data they have to admit these analyses "do not prove*" the vaccines cause POTS/CRPS but claim they "provide a safety signal". This isn't what we've all been led to expect. *too damn right they don't.

Table 10.20 is the basis for the claim: "The HPV vaccines increased serious nervous system disorders (72 vs. 46, RR 1.49 [1.02 to 2.16]". But there is a high rate of heterogeneity. Incidence rate varies by a factor of >20 across studies. #ComparingApplesWithBananas #dkmedier

Need to repeat this point. Claim: "The HPV vaccines increased serious nervous system disorders RR 1.49 [1.02 to 2.16]" Using the same data: "Being unvac with Gardasil vs unvac with Cervarix reduced..." RR 0.21 [0.09 to 0.48] 🤣🤣🤣 #ApplesBananas #TiltingWindmills #dkmedierpic.twitter.com/ERUkBe91sv

My aunt was, for a time, T S Elliot's secretary. I don't think she'd have recommended his advice on defending a PhD.

I was going to qualify that as "defending a PhD on a scientific subject"...but realized that was probably unnecessary.
